A great number of people are looking to play darts as a cheap form of entertainment and to help pass the time during their tour here in Korea.  While others have played elsewhere and want to keep in practice.  Whatever the reason may be I have created this page to help those people that do not know what division they should start in.  We do not have a Pro level nor do we have a Masters division any longer.  However, they are worth reading and will give you something to aspire to.  The best way to use this page is to warm up for a little while and then throw 99 darts at a triple 20 then divide your total score by 33.  Look at the page below to where it says "Average score per 3 darts" and find the division that corresponds with what you scored.  Then try shooting the individual games to see whether or not you should stay in that division or move up or down one division.  This page is by no means an absolute guideline to go by.  It is just what I have observed in the league since 1991.

       Good luck!!

Level of Play
Average Number of Darts Thrown Description of Play
Professional   THE PRO:  He knows all the outs prior to shooting without stopping to figure out
501 15-18 what is left or what his opponent has.  Like the master player they have studied
301-After D/I 12-Sep their opponents prior to playing them in order to learn there weak points, strong
Cricket 13-15 points and there strategies.  They also almost always will start a practice routine
Average Score per 3 Darts 100 far in advance of any major tournament so when its comes time to play they will
hopefully be at their very best.

Master   THE MASTER:  The master is a person practices every chance they get.  In
501 16-24 addition they will usually try to study there opponent prior to playing them in order
301-After D/I 15-Dec to discover their strengths and weaknesses.  This division usually consist of the
Cricket 16-21 "A" player who is exceptionally good and is moving up or the Pro who is no longer
Average Score per 3 Darts 80 at the top of their game.  The master is almost always a very dart orientated
person who tries to get more people into the game by helping them with the
Average Marks per 3 Darts 4 basics or teaching them the different strategies involved.

SSDA "A" Div   THE "A" PLAYER:  Usually a person becomes an "A" player after they have
501 25-33 started to focus on a consistent dart throw allowing them to shoot tighter groups
301-After D/I 16-24 with more consistency.  The "A" player is the highest level in most none Pro
Cricket 21-27 leagues and therefore they should also know and practice the rules and
Average Score per 3 Darts 60 etiquette of especially since the lower divisions look up to them and will follow
their example most of the time.  The "A" player also start think of leaving an out
Average Marks per 3 Darts 3 when the get to the 200 mark.

SSDA "B" Div   THE "B" PLAYER:  Here the player has already developed his or her own
501 31-39 throwing style and preferences.  Also they should know and understand the rules
301-After D/I 19-27 of etiquette and common courtesies.  This player now has most all of the outs
Cricket 25-33 memorized and in the 01 games they start thinking of an out when they get close

50 to 100.  Usually it only takes this person on season before they are ready to move
to "A" division.  However, many are reluctant to do so thinking "A" division is to
Average Marks per 3 Darts 2.5 difficult or to serious.  When in fact most of the "A" Division players are there
mainly to improve their darts by playing against the better players.
SSDA "C" Div   THE "C" PLAYER:  In this division the player is starting to develop his or her
501 34-42 own style and dart rhythm.  Also the player starts to notice and develop different
301-After D/I 21-33 strategies depending on which games he/she is playing.  For example:  The
Cricket 31-39 opponent has 32 left and the player has 2 darts left with a 50 out.  Does the player

THE "D" PLAYER:  This division is for the player who can hit on the average 7
501 36-48 twenties out of 12 darts.  It is also for the person who used to play in "E/F" division
301-After D/I 23-36 and now has a general idea of how to play the different games.
