What is the Songtan Si Dart Association?

The Songtan-Si Dart Association (SSDA), formed in 1986, in the dart league that is played in the Songtan-Si, Korea on Wednesday nights.  We play three seasons a year (Winter/Spring, Summer, Fall).  These seasons start around January, May and September.  Flyers are put out prior to each season.

 What is the team format?

The SSDA format is built around a four player team (no gender restrictions) with games consisting of 301, 501, Cricket (all of which are best of 3 legs per game) and one team leg of 1001.

How many divisions are in the SSDA?

Depending on the membership in a season (average amount of players per season is +200) we strive to keep the league to a maximum of 15 weeks.  This allows us the flexibility to have a minimum of 4 divisions (A, B, C, D).

How good do I have to be to join the SSDA?

Only the desire to play is needed.  We have players with less or no experience in the lower divisions.

How do I join the SSDA?

The SSDA updates an announcement board at Smoke -n-Darts  in Aragon Alley.  Talk to the people around town as you see them playing darts.  Chances are someone will be an SSDA member and can give you information on the league.  You can also play in the local weekly tournaments in town and pick up information on the league through the players there.   Or Contact one of the league officers at Officers@songtandarts.com

Can I join the SSDA after the season has started?

SmokeN-Darts in Aragon Alley has a sign up list on the announcement board or contact one of the league officers at Officers@songtandarts.com  for players that want to join the league and do not have a team to play on.  Captains are reminded to review this list periodically or when they need players.

 SSDA Tournaments

The SSDA holds regularly scheduled tournaments approximately every two months.  We use different game formats and generally play a blind draw double elimination tournament.  Prize money has been as high as $3200 at these tournaments, of course this depends on player participation.  Tournament notices are posted at most establishments that have a dart team.
